Welcome to North Devon Hawk Walks!
We are based in North Molton, just one mile from Exmoor National Park.
We offer visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience at first hand the thrill of falconry in North Devon. This can take the form of a walk on Exmoor, or through beautiful fields and woods, accompanied by Lady Macbeth, a female Harris Hawk, or her younger male partner, Hotspur. They will demonstrate their flying ability for you, while you learn something of the history and practice of this ancient and fascinating sport. North Devon, and Exmoor in particular, is an ideal place take part in this ancient country sport.
The birds will allow you to feed them, carry them and help exercise them so that they keep in top hunting condition.
If you would like something more exciting you can accompany Hotspur or Macbeth, together with their handler and an entourage of ferrets as we hunt rabbits.
Rabbits are a pest locally and landowners are keen to keep them under control. Rabbit holes can and do cause serious injury to horses and cattle. Hawking is an environmentally friendly, yet efficient, way to control rabbits.
NOW AVAILABLE ! GIFT VOUCHERS, AN IDEAL CHRISTMAS OR BIRTHDAY PRESENT.
A one hour hawk walk costs just thirty pounds for a group of three people. Look at what others charge and you will see what great value this is.
